A friend of mines ex gf was @ the Hospital they still are friends so i messaged him telling him her mom was?
There i never mentioned anything other than that not why she was there nothing @ all…She made a complaint that i violated the Hipaa law. A few days later she makes a big distrubance in the Hospital and harasses my sister and says out loud in front of patients and workers that she will do nething to get my sis and I fired…This isnt even about the Hipaa Law it all comes down to the fact that she dislikes me its all about personal reasons…is there any way i can fight this what can i do?
Do you or your sister work at the hospital? Did you find out she was there because of working there? If you were in the waiting room as a fellow patient and so was she, then you didn’t do anything wrong. The hospital can’t control random people coming in and seeing others there. However, if the reason you knew she was there was because of your employment position, that is highly unprofessional, if not unethical to tell people outside the hospital things, especially identifying the person by name.
