HIPAA compliance: Microsoft Access or Filemaker Pro?
Which of these programs is better for making a HIPAA-compliant database? Or are both bad options?
Access is probably the best. It is not cheap and requires a trained programmer to set up and trained operators to maintain.
Filemaker Pro and Alpha Five v 7 are comparable in capability. Price can be a major factor if you can use run times instead of full licenses. I think Alpha is easy to learn and use at an expert level.
