following hipaa guidelines
Would anyone consider the following question unethical?
I have a friend who is a dentist and he will sometimes tell me about funny expreiences he has with patients that we both know. Is this unethical or contrary to HIPAA guidelines?
Unethical to say the least. He’s breaking doctor/patient confidentiality. Don’t you think he’s talking about you behind your back to your friends as well. He’s not much of a doctor or friend. Dump him.
