How to get an EMS ride-along (In Georgia)?
My program doesnt start till July, but I’ve mostly been told due to HIPAA that I wont be able to go on a ride along. Some places ask if I’m in a program already. I really want to observe and see if it’s right for me. I’ll be going into a slightly accelerated Emt-Intermediate program. I dont want to wait till were halfway through the course to observe.
If you have fire departments in rural communities that provide both services (fire protection and medical response) stop by the fire hall and speak with the fire Chief. Explain your situation and intrest in the field.
