Why has mandatory testing for the HIV virus never been implemented?
I have always advocated mandatory HIV testing. Relying on people to get tested for the virus is futile. The medical establishment can’t convince people to have a yearly physical exam, Pap Smear, and a myriad of other tests. Mandatory testing would allow everyone to know their status and receive treatment. I work in the medical field. HIPAA would apply to the test, as in other medical tests. Why is AIDS treated with kid gloves? We might finally be able to really fight AIDS!
Its an infringement on peoples rights . A right of people is to say no to tests , sadly .
I agree with you however , all for mandatory testing , especially in pregnancy !
