a pharmacy leaves a message on the answering machine stating the the patient’s prescription is ready, but?
doesn’t leave specific information concerning the medication or disease state. Is this in violation of HIPAA??
No. It’s not a HIPAA violation. It’s the same premise as leaving an appointment reminder message.
