my m.d. was talking behind my back to my girlfriend about things that were private..about me..?

we share the same m.d. but theres things hes not allowed to discuss with her..but must had said alot to get her thinking..im bipolar and shes got her issues,,as of the may 12th she split up with me for what our doc told her…i had a appt the next day..i told him when i went there that we broke up..he said i know this..im like how would you know it before i would..he told me she was asking him and telling him things about me..he said right off the bat i didnt disagree with her.he said i need to move on and forget her..i know about what was said cant prove it of course..but that day she broke up with me..no real big loss at all there..but on the other hand this m.d. is not alwed to talk about someone even if it was my wife..are there laws to protect..i read the hipaa law its nothing..or even a conflict of interest way off….HELP ME HERE TO SEEE WHAT CAN BE DONE OVER THIS..DO I HAVE A CASE????????????? THANKS

No way to prove it, there’s no way your ex girlfriend would admit it. And even if she did, it would be an ethical issue to be dealt with (most likely) internally. You did not lose anything (health/money) through his misconduct so there’s not really anything you can do about it (like sue) that I am aware of.
