How much information do lawyers have access to?
There was a discussion in class today and a classmate said something like, “i got into an accident I got like 50 letters about attorneys in the mail. I asked an attorney once where he seen this and he told me its a site they can view. He also went on to tell me he could view everything about anyone. I don’t see how HIPAA is protecting us against this.”
Just wondering if anyone could elaborate on this.
HIPAA has absolutely nothing to do with anything here. It is about protecting health information and allowing you to maintain health insurance.
