cobra- when you have a job and you have health benefits and you leave the job – you can continue the health benefits but you have to pay for all the cost of the health benefits. You are allowed to cobra for a limited time – it’s not indefinite.
hippa – privacy legislation. Does not allow anyone to get copies of your medical records/bills with out you signing a hip pa approved medical authorization.
