Is this a violation of HIPAA?
Does HIPAA cover dental healthcare setting too? Every time I go for a checkup, as I’m sitting in the working room waiting for them to come work on my mouth, I noticed that the computer always has the X-ray files of the previous patient open. ALWAYS!
And I saw their names too..
sure it is. I had the dental hygienist tell a co worker about my dental problems, and I called and told them to stop and that I won’t be back and if they tell them that I left to seek a new dental office—–that I WILL turn it in and report the hygienist. She could of lost her license over this, but as a christian, I decided to show mercy and NOT report it, for the fact that if I require mercy from God, I should be extended it to others myself.
