How come I can’t inquire about my HUSBAND’s health (HIPAA law) but now the Government can know everything?
As it stands now…I can’t know anything about my husband of 29 years health unless he signs a consent form.
Thanks to OBAMACARE – the government will not collect all our health records and get to know everything about us!
Does Obamacare take away even more of our freedoms than we realized? We really DID have to pass it before we got to know what’s in it…

This question is about spouses not getting info but the GOVERNMENT can. FOCUS please…
You sort of answered your own question. Gathering this medical information and keeping it from you is so when the need arises that information can be used for end of life counseling. Obamacare assumes that the spouse will be too emotionally involved to make a rational decision so a third party, faceless bureaucrat will make those decisions for you.
In short, the Government is saying you are too stupid to know what is best for your husband.
