doctors note being faxed is this a violation of hipaa?
The doctor faxed a note to my job putting me out of work for a few days. would he be violating my hipaa laws if he put the reason?
No…many jobs require the reason….that being said their are many people that have doctors as friends and can just get notes….PS..if the company is PAYING you for the time off…dont you think they have the right to know it is for a real reason??
