What to do about this HIPAA Violation?
I had tests done at a regular physical appointment and when the results were available, my doctor left me a detailed message about the results. Here is the problem, my voicemail does not identify me as being the person receiving the message, just my phone number is identified. I’m not sure how to pursue this issue?
If private health information has not actually been disclosed, there is no violation. Also, even if there were a violation, all you can do is file a complaint.
