Does HIPAA cover schools?
My niece has a medical condition, and a member of the school staff divulged that information. Nothing in the Act itself mentions schools, but I’m pretty sure that school personnel are prohibited from divulging medical information of students.
Not really. You may have been listed in a release so that you could get the information.
