Can my pharmacist give one of my DR’s information on what med’s I take, if NOT prescribed by inquiring DR??
Is this a HIPAA violation?
Yes they can. No, it’s not.
It’s called continuity of care. It’s not safe to prescribe for a patient unless you know ALL the meds are the patient takes.
Too much chance of adverse reactions.
