Is this a HIPAA violation?
I have an ex-friend who works at the local medicare office. I have a feeling that she has been accessing my medical/insurance information for her own personal reasons. She has told a few people some information about me that she would only know from looking into my records. Is there a way that I can prove this or block her from having access to any of my medical or insurance information? I don’t feel comfortable knowing that she works for the company that handles my medical information.
Yes, it is a violation.. I would report her immediatly
