Is this a Hipaa violation?
My Mom requested and received her medical records from her former doctor. She was reviewing the information when she discovered the medical records (including D.O.B, phone numbers, addresses and test results) of several other patients printed upon the back of her medical records. Would this be considered a Hipaa violation?
Yes. The other patients’ privacy (but not your moms) has been violated.
