My husband is working with a hospital legal dept for a hipaa issue; what is a good settlement amount?
Please email me! My husband went to the E.R. a couple of weeks ago; when he was placed in a room, the staff were rude to him. He could hear the nurses talking about his case in the hallway. Then, he even heard the first and last name of another patient and her illness – this definitely violated hipaa. He is now working with the legal department of the hospital to negotiate compensation for this issue. I know this sounds cold, but what is a good price?
