What type of lawyer do I need?
I have been hiding from my ex-husband (stalker) for 13 years, when I took my son to the dentist a few months back someone who works there recognized the name (i guess??) and gave him my phone number, told him what kind of car I drive, and told him that I am disabled. I know the privacy act and HIPAA are on my side to protect my info…and the dentist was so rude and mean about the whole thing…I am wanting to sue her (blippin’ bleep)…lol…but I cant figure out who knows the hipaa laws, it isn’t medical malpractice, so if you know please help me out…thanks so much for taking the time to help me.

Go to the attorney general of your state. Your phone company will have that number.
I wouldn’t even waste time with this one. Act on it immediately. It is illegal.
First, I would report the dentist to your state. Go online to the license agency for your state and report the dentist. Make sure that you have the girl’s name too. If she is licensed, report her while you are on the same site.
Otherwise, he will have to answer for that.
find a lawyer that specializes in medicine.
Look up HIPPA regulations for your state as well, they may have a place to report this.
