Penn Foster Medical and Billing Program?

Are you enrolled in the program(where are you currently)? or and you finished? Likes and Dislikes about the program? Which was your favorite lesson? Which was your least favorite? What lesson/test or research project/assignment did you find most difficult?

Im currently in the program just finished the math lesson and still have some of the research projects to finish.

Likes- that there are no time limits especially on the research projects.
Dislikes- sometimes it takes a while for the shipments to come.
Favorite- Medical Terminology
Least Favorite- Laws and Ethics in Medicine
Most Difficult- HIPAA research project!! (still working on it)

If you have finished were you able to get a job right away or is there a state test you have to pass before hand? Was it worth the money?

I’m not w/ Penn Foster, I went with Meditec.com. I already know medical terminology from completing an MT program prior. I enjoy learning the coding procedure and all the rules surrounding how to code. It’s fun looking at a medical record and determining the diagnosis, procedures, and supplies used and how best to code and bill for that. Everything is online w/ my program so I didn’t have to wait for any shipments.
