Your “bestfriend” announces she is pregnant to her friends via email THEN mentions YOU can’t have kids…

This is your BEST-childhood-FRIEND…She decides to make an announcement about her pregnancy with a man she just met only a few months ago to HER friends, meaning they are not your friends, but you know of them & they know OF you.

For no reason, she includes in her annoucement news about you… “Jane” is looking into adoption because she has medical issues (she gives them every detail of your medical problems). ”

Oh and this big mouth friend is a R.N. and should know better about leaking medical information (HIPAA)!

Also…in her email, you find out that she lied about her age and about the father-to-be’s occupation & his age. (she’s 13+yrs older then he). One of HER friends finds the entire email odd so she forwarded it to you & that’s how you find out!

When you confront her, she denies it..until you say that you’ve seen it with your own eyes! She doens’t apologize, rather says she didn’t do anything wrong!

Would you be mad at you bestfriend…What would you do????

Ever heard the expression “Loose lips sink ships” yeah well in this case it was your friendSHIP that got sunk. You had every right as a friend (not even a best friend) to expect her to keep your medical issues between just you and her. Obviously if she sent the email out, and didn’t include you in the list of sendee’s it shows how much she values (or doesn’t value) your friendship. Honestly I’d move on, I would tell her to her face (since that’s what a RESPECTABLE person would do, don’t sink to her level), that while she may BELIEVE she did nothing wrong she has hurt you enough that she has shown you that she really doesn’t care about you, therefore she has ended the friendship. Tell her if she didn’t want to be friends there are a lot more respectable ways of ending a friendship amicably rather than a gossip/smear campaign. As far as her lies about her man, who cares, in a few years they’ll end up divorced anyway probably… although funny she tells about her own deception in a mass email. It honestly sounds like you will be better off without this person as your friend, I’m sorry it had to come at the cost of your privacy (I’m also sorry to hear you’re unable to conceive). It’s time to move on and away from her, poisonous people tend to polute the people around them, so the quicker the better. In all this you just need to be the better person (and not spread gossip about her), yeah you’re hurt, and you probably have some right to be, BUT stooping to her level will just show people how petty YOU can be, they will respect you a lot more if you just say, I’m sorry you’re not a better friend, and walk away.
