HIPAA Laws in Ohio questions?
Can a doctor or nurse show a patients medical records to anyone, without a court order to do so?
Can legal charges be brought against a doctor, nurse or staff for breaking HIPAA laws?
If a court order to look at patient records has been served, Does the patient get a copy of the court order?
No….. your medical records are not available to anyone with out your written consent or a court order. But, if you have signed a waiver of rights… they could be open to view by certain people. But, under NO circumstances are they open to the public.

Violations are not criminal offenses, so no, you can not report it to the police. But, get an attorney and a civil law suit could be brought
