What is Sarbanes-Oxley Act?
I’ve googled and I just cannot understand what its saying.
Is it to prevent corporations from writing false financial reports?
What does this act mean? What does it provide that it didn’t have before? Who can benefit from this act and who would not?

It is costly and it has kept businesses from signing up on the NYSE. After it was passed, the firms leaving the NYSE tripled with only a gain of 10 two years after it was passed.
