Sarbanes Oxley Penalties
sarbanes oxley penalties
What are the changes that were enacted in the Sarbanes-Oxley Act?
I am doing a research paper on Criminal Penalties and Protection for Whistleblowers. I also need answers to the following questions: What were the accounting/oversight practices prior to the change?
Why was this area selected for changes? What contributing factors created attention to the topic?
How do you feel these changes will benefit shareholders, public companies, audit firms, CPA’s etc.?
Are there areas you feel are detrimental to the accounting profession? Explain with a concrete example.
Do you feel Congressional actions should have been taken in this topic area, or do you feel accounting practices should be regulated by organization such as FASB, SEC, AAA, etc.?
If possible I need to know these no later than Monday. Thank You in advance.
