Sarbanes Oxley Problems

sarbanes oxley problems

Corporations and securities regulations?

Consider the problems experienced with Enron, WorldCom and other corporations.

What statutes are desirable now to improve the situation?
Is Sarbanes-Oxley adequate or over-regulation?

Im having trouble understanding the statutes in regards to these laws. A little help?

Remember fraud and thievery have been around for a long time. No law can prevent these from happening. All it can do is to catch the thieves and punish them. If you look at Enron, Worldcom etc., the law worked. May be we should look at instilling a sense of honesty and integrity in present and future leaders of business.

Sarbox is fine. Those who cry “overregulation” want to dilute it.
