can a california medical marijuana patient purchase a firearm?
This is what I wanna know my 21 birthday coming up in couple weeks and my heart is set on revolver and I’m wondering if I could purchase a firearm and have a medical marijuana letter recommendation which I got earlier this year the thing is I have quit smoking marijuana and have no need for it anymore and I’ve heard you’ll be protected from hipaa privacy. I know its legal through state but not federal and if I could get rid if it I would don’t know how I don’t want any sarcastic answers or answers like “i hope not” I’ve done research and couldn’t find a thing but i asked couple gun shops and they said it shouldn’t be a problem for federal wont recognize it and safe through hipaa guidelines
since the marijuana is medicinal its not illegal as long as you got the prescription legally. you have your second amendment right (the right to bear arms) which can never be taken from you. the only way you are not allowed to purchase a firearm is if you have a criminal history.
