Violating Hipaa

violating hipaa
Is it possible for a patient to violate the HIPAA?
Is there anything a patient can do, at all, that would violate the HIPAA?
Are healthcare providers the only ones that have to abide by the HIPAA?
A patient can share any part of their own records with anyone they want. However they cannot share another patients information.
The only example I can think of is if a patient is sharing a room with someone at a hospital and they hear and then repeat private information.
